Sometimes, I feel like I need a change in my life.
The feeling of my life falling apart is exhausting. With so many things to do, everything feels messy and overwhelming, and it becomes challenging to decide where to start.
However, whenever I feel that my life is all over the place, I take simple steps to get my life back on track.
Trust me. These are my ever-promised tips that will help you get your life organized again!
To make your process easier, I’ve made you a “RESET routine” checklist that you’ll just need to simply check off the steps you’ve completed to get your life back on track.
FREE “RESET routine” checklist:
– List all of the things you got To Do
To get started, first write down all the tasks you need to accomplish and prioritize them according to their importance.
Take a piece of paper and divide it into three sections. Label the first section as “Super Important”, the second section as “Important”, and the third section as “Do it Later”. Then, categorize your tasks in each section based on their priority.
To make things easier for you, I have created a checklist template. All you have to do is fill in your tasks.
– Clean your Space!
Keeping our room or house organized every day can be a challenging task.
But if we want to start fresh we must make sure that our space is all tide up – clear space clear mind!
Go pick up everything that’s on the floor, discard any garbage, fold up the clothes you tried on last night, thoroughly clean your desk, shelfs and mirrors and change your sheets.
sometimes, when I want to really clean everything that I have (because cleaning y’all is the best thing to do if you want to feel better:), I clean my everyday shoes, do my laundry, clean my windows, and basically clean everything that has not been thoroughly cleaned in a while.
– 30 Min of Movement
this is one of my best methods that helps me a lot especially when I need to clear everything that is on my mind.
I’m sure I’m not the only one who feels overwhelmed sometimes with all the things and tasks that need to be done. So, when we have too much on our minds, we need to take a step back and focus on taking care of our body and soul.
One option is to grab a yoga mat, open up YouTube, and do some 20 minutes of yoga or Pilates. This can help us take a break from the things that keep us anxious. Another good option is to go for a walk or run, listen to music that makes us feel good, and just disconnect from the world.
for example, when i have a big exam coming up and I am sitting for long periods of time studying, I take a little break and go for a run. this clear my mind and helps me to remember the study material better.
– Skin Care
You don’t even know how much I love the skin care step!
Im obsess with the feeling of having a smooth, soft and glowing skin.
I found it one of the most relaxing things to do, especially when you try out new creams and face masks.
So, it is your time to head to the store and get yourself some new skincare products to give your skin what it deserves!
– Declutter and Organize your Phone & Laptop
Yes, this step is the task we all have avoided. But now, it is time to face it.
Go get yourself a cup of coffee and start.
Begin with deleting all the unnecessary files from your laptop. When you finish that, continue to the photos and other stuff on your laptop.
Once that is done, move on to organizing your photos and other files. For added security, upload everything to the cloud.
Next, organize your files into categories such as school notes, photos, and homework. You can create a main folder for each category and further manage them within.
What I like to do is to create a desktop wallpaper collage. You can choose your aesthetic on Pinterest with photos you like and even add a calendar for the month and two plain boxes to place your main file there, so you’ll be able to reach them quickly.
– ReDecor & ReOrganize
Redecorating your house can be an exciting way to bring some change in your life. You don’t necessarily need to buy big furniture items like a new couch; small decorative items like candles, flowers, desk decor, pillows, and organization containers can make a big difference too.
Now it’s your time to get creative! Start by looking at the space you want to reorganize, like your bedroom. Move some furniture around, such as your bed, closet, and drawers. This step will certainly make you feel the change.
After reorganizing your chosen space, add the new decor items you bought from the store to give it a fresh look.
– Plan your month
Keeping your mind focused on your monthly goals is an important step. Print out a monthly calendar or fill in your planner with all the activities you have planned for the month.
If you’re feeling creative, you can make your own calendar by drawing a table on a piece of paper and adding the dates of the month. Whenever you have an activity planned, simply add it to your calendar. This will help you manage your time effectively and feel more organized.
– Create a new playlist
When I need a boost in energy, I turn to one of my favorite hobbies – listening to music. It is very helpful for me to improve my mood. However, I have discovered that listening to the same songs over and over again can quickly become unexciting.
So, from time to time, I create a new playlist with my latest favorite songs that I can keep listening to on and on.
– Get your work done!
This is your reminder to sit down and finally tackle the work you have been putting off.
Set a timer for one hour, and commit to finish it! You’ll feel a sense of relief and accomplishment the moment you finish.
Besides, if you get it done, you’ll have free time to do whatever you want for the rest of your day, so there is a bonus:)
– Create an inspiration board
Creating an inspiration board is a great way to stay focused on your goals. If you’re not sure what it is, let me explain. An inspiration board is simply a collection of photos that represent what you want to achieve. For example, if you want to do well in school, you can search for images of good grades on Pinterest and create a collage of them.
Similarly, if you want to have a great summer, you can find photos that represent your ideal summer and create a board with them.
So, go ahead and choose your photos, and create an inspiration board that motivates you to reach your goals.
That’s all for now,
