As a Christmas-loving woman, I always feel the need to prepare well to get into the holiday mood and spirit. We all know that Christmas officially starts on December 1st! This means decorations start to appear, the weather changes and everything becomes more magical.
As women, we know that Christmas can be truly magical if we make it magical in our way. We must create our own special routine, follow an aesthetic, and prepare ahead of time.
So, I have gathered the best steps you can take to get yourself in the Christmas spirit!
1. Decorate your room / house
Getting excited for Christmas is easy – just look around and see all the decorations and the magical vibes.
Take some light strings and hang them around your space.
When night comes, go light them on to create more of a festive touch.
You can buy a small tree for your room and decorate it – it will make your space extra special and also give you a little fun activity to do:)
Another thing that is great to have around when winter comes is candles of course, light them up for a warmer and cozy feeling.
2. Get your nails done in a Christmas color
I am obsessed with getting my nails done, and getting them themed is even more exciting!
Every time I get to do my nails differently than I normally do, I’ll take it!
You can choose a specific nail design or just go for red or green nails:)
3. Bake Christmas brownies or cookies
This is one of the most fun activities that I love to do at Christmas: Baking!
You can make some brownies or cookies or even both:)
The house smells so delicious and festive with all the Christmas treats. It’s also a great idea to decorate your cookies or brownies and give them as a little gift to your loved ones during the holiday season.
4. Get new Christmas pjs
One of the most familiar things we all like with Christmas is obviously the pajamas!
The long red checkered pants that never go out of style every single season, or the cozy pajama that is so warm and soft as a cloud that you never want to get out of.
If you don’t already have a pair, now is the perfect time to head to the store and pick them up.
And for those who already own a pair, go and get them out of your closet!
If you only have one color or style, expand your collection (this is much more fun to have your own Christmas merch)
5. Drink a new holiday drink
During the holiday season, there are always new Christmas drinks that we are all looking forward to trying. Although we may not be able to literally taste Christmas, there is something about these drinks that just feels like the holiday season.
We all agree that they symbolize the magic and joy of this special time of year.
6. New winter clothes that color match
The holiday season is all about giving and receiving, but why not treat yourself too? There’s nothing quite like a shopping trip to the mall to lift your spirits and get you in a festive mood. You can pick out new winter clothes in beautiful seasonal colors to refresh your wardrobe.
If you don’t feel like braving the crowds, online shopping is a great alternative. It lets you shop comfortably from your home, and you get to stay in your pajamas:)
7. Find a new cold weather makeup routine
This has been going viral in the recent winters.
For the girls who don’t know what I am talking about, let me explain.
This winter makeup routine primarily uses blush and highlighter to create a rosy & “cold” weather look, haha!

8. Create a Wishlist
You probably think “Wishlist is totally for kids” – BIG NO!
The Wishlist is not only for the things you want to get for Christmas.
It also sets your mind on what you want in general.
Let’s say you won’t be able to get all of these things for Christmas. Are you going to give up on them? Hopefully not.
There is no reason to give up on the stuff you want. You just need to manage and invest your money wisely.
This is why the Wishlist is the best way to do it!
To get your thoughts organized, start by creating a Christmas Wishlist.

9. Write a GiftList for your loved ones
Christmas is a time for giving, and there is nothing quite like the feeling of satisfaction you get when the person you give a gift to is truly happy with it.
If you are looking for inspiration, social media is a great place to start. There are many recommendations online, so take some time to explore. The key to successful gift-giving is creativity, so try to think outside the box.
Consider the person’s hobbies, interests, and preferences, as well as their needs and wants. If they have mentioned something they would like or need, that is a great place to start.
Remember, the best gifts are those that come from the heart and show that you have put some thought and effort into choosing something special for them.
10. Create a new holiday playlist
Music is one of my favorite things in life. Honestly, I don’t know what I would do without it. Whenever I have something boring to do, or even some free time, I listen to a fun playlist that I create.
When Christmas comes around, I love to listen to holiday music.
You can create a new holiday playlist with your favorite music and some Christmas songs and play it while you bake your Christmas cookies, fold your laundry, or even during your workouts.
11. Create new workout routine for December
We all have a regular workout routine, but why not make it more exciting by switching it up for a magical December?
Try out different types of workouts, maybe start a challenge, or even mix up other exercises than you usually do.
Follow the new routine you created for the rest of the month.
12. Create a Christmas inspiration board
As girls, we all know that every holiday and season comes with aesthetics and inspiration.
We must save the best seasonal photos that inspire us and represent our dream holiday!
To do this, head over to Pinterest and create a new board, then save all the photos that inspire you.
To make it even easier, I have created a Christmas aesthetic board for you to save and gain inspiration from.
